IHEC announces Final Results of Provincial Council Elections for Nineveh Province

On 26 June the IHEC announced the final results of provincial council elections (PCE) for Nineveh province.

The press conference in Baghdad was attended by the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners (BoC), Mr. Sarbast Rasheed, and BoC Members, Mr. Seror al Hitawy, Mr. Serwan Ahmed and Mrs. Gulshan Kamel.

Mr. al Hitawy read the final results for Nineveh province. The sequence of entities was ranked as follows:

  1. Alliance List of Brotherhood and Coexistence (11 seats)

  2. Motahedoon Block (8 seats)

  3. Loyalty to Nineveh Alliance and United Nineveh Alliance (4 seats each)

  4. Iraqi Construction and Justice Union (3 seats) whereas each of Chivalry of Nineveh Alliance, National Nineveh Alliance, NationalUm al Rabiein Clans, Iraqi Masses Alliance and United Nineveh Alliances (1 seat each).


This meant that 14 out of the 27 political entities and coalitions participation in the elections in Nineveh province won seats.

The IHEC had previously announced the final results of elections in Anbar province, where Motahedoon headed the list

with eight seats, followed by Abiroon (five seats) and Iraqia Arbia (four seats).
